Hardwick Hall , Derbyshire UK

Heritage Trail Installation

We were with highlighting the value and purpose of the ruins at the English Heritage site Hardwick Old Hall. I focused on the stunning landscape views across the site and the extraordinary story behind the Countess of Hardwick (Bess). In response to my research on letter locking used during the time of Bess, I placed three structures across the site forming a trail in which each spot showcases the most significant views which mirror the growth of Bess's journey through her life. This enables visitors who are coming to the site to engage with the views, and learn more about the Countess's life and her architectural choices.
